Drugs seized in some Townships

Police members from Myawaddy Anti-Drug Squad searched Pae Phyo Aung on Kayin sarpe Road in ward-3 in the town of Myawaddy, Kayin State on 27 September and seized 211 stimulant tablets from him. As a result of investigation, authorities raided the house of Ma The Thet Thet Myo in ward-3 in the town of Myawaddy, and confiscated 23400 stimulant tablets in the house, according to the information released by Myanmar Police Force.

 

In a similar incident in the same day, Police members from Hopong Anti-Drug Squad intercepted a vehicle driven by Zaw Myo Aung on Hopong-Loilem Road near Ywathit Village in Hopong Township, and seized 450000 stimulant tablets worth K 450 million from him. As a result of investigation, authorities arrested Sai Hlaing and Sai Naw Tun along with a vehicle on Taunggyi-Loilem Raod near Hotint Village in Hopong Township.

 

In addition, Police members from Kengtung Anti-Drug Squad raided the house of Ma Bu Mi in Hwesaing Village in Kengtung Township, and confiscated 4050 stimulant tablets in the house. Policemen from Kenglat Police Outpost stopped a motorbike driven by Kya Law near Namhngaw Village in Tachilek Township and seized 15400 stimulant tablets from him.
