MoFA transfers ballot papers of advance voters abroad to UEC

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over the sealed ballot papers of advance voters sent by two Myanmar embassies abroad to the Union Election Commission yesterday.


The Myanmar embassies, missions and consulate-general offices abroad that opened polling stations for Myanmar citizens sent back the ballot papers of advance voters to the ministry.


The ministry already handed over the ballot papers from a total of 44 embassies, missions and consulate-general offices – 4 on 14 October, 2 on 15 October, 28 on 19 October, 8 on 22 October and 2 on 24 October – to UEC to date. The ballot papers of advance voters of Myanmar Embassy in Havana, Cuba, will soon arrive in Myanmar. The ministry will also transfer them to the commission.
