With the aim of promoting friendship between Myanmar Defense Services (Navy) and Royal Thai Navy, friendly volleyball and football matches were played at the township sports stadium and sports ground in the town of Kyunsu, Taninthayi region yesterday afternoon.
The matches were watched by General Staff Officer Grade 1 Lieutenant Colonel Ko Ko Latt from Taninthayi region Naval Command, Mr. Siri Pon, the delegate head of Royal Thai Navy, members of the Navies, their families and sports fans.
Lieutenant Colonel Ko Ko Latt and Mr. Siri Pon offered a warm greeting to players from the two sides before the matches started and posed for a documentary photographs together with the players.
Myanmar team beat Thai team in the volleyball game. In the football match played at the township sports stadium, the football team representing Royal Thai Navy beat the team representing Taninthayi regional Naval command 1-0.—Sithuya Aung
