Myanmar women’s national football team appoints head coach

26 May

THE Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) Technical Committee appointed U Tin Myint Aung as the head coach of the Myanmar women’s national football team, according to the committee’s meeting yesterday.

As the head coach position of the Myanmar women’s national football team was vacant, U Tin Myint Aung has served as a temporary coach for the team since the third round of the 2020 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in February.

Now, the MFF technical team decided to appoint him as the women’s team’s head coach as he knows well about the players and the team.

The women’s national team will compete this year only in ASEAN-level competitions, and participate in Viet Nam’s SEA Games and other international matches next year. — Shine Htet Zaw (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
