Number of coronavirus-positive patients rise to nine in Kyaunggon Twsp

Nine people were found to have been infected with the coronavirus in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyarwady Region over the past two days, according to the Department of Health.


A man from Hleseik Village-tract in Kyaunggon Township tested positive for the virus in Pathein. In addition, four men and two women from Ward-1 were found to have been infected with the Covid-19. Two women working at a microfinance firm from Ward-2 also tested positive for coronavirus. 51 staff members from the microfinance company tested negative for the virus.


17 people who had close contact with the virus-positive patients will be quarantined and they will be tested, the DPH said.
