MYANMAR’S pool star Phone Myint Kyaw (a) Ko Ar Ti will play against Chinese player Chu Bing Jie on 31 May as a seventh and last match of the first round of the 8 Battle Chinese Pool Super Match 2020 Tournament, being held in Chao Yang, China.
The match will be a point collection match for Phone Myint Kyaw as he had already advanced to the second round after six straight wins in the China 8-ball pool tournament with a win over Wu Yeng by 21-19 on 16 May.
All six wins make Myanmar’s pool star to be the very first player to advance in the second round of the tourney bagging full 37,800 points.
Currently, Phone Myint Kyaw is standing in the first place with no loss record and possessing 126 sub-matches wins out of six games. Top three players will directly advance to the second round while fourth and fifth positioned players will fight for a play-off for their hope of next stage.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
