Police seize drugs, weapons in house raid

Police confiscated drugs and weapons from two men in Kawthoung District in Taninthayi Region on 5 July.

Policemen led by Police Sub-inspector Pyae Phyo Kyaw intercepted a suspicious boat in the Parchan River between Yay Twin Taung Village and Kha Mouk Ngel Village while on patrol. They discovered .8 grams of ICE and 2 stimulant tablets from a man identified as Min Min, 35. The man confessed that he purchased the drugs from a dealer named Ta Yoke Gyi aka Nay Lin Oo from Khi Kakoi Village.

The police raided the house of a suspected drug smuggler and found .25 grams of ICE, paraphernalia, one .22 rifle and two bullets in his house. Police opened a case against the two men under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
