Two more virus cases reported in Namhsan Twsp

Namhsan, November 23

Three coronavirus-positive patients were quarantined at a school owned by the Ministry of Border Affairs after a truck driver tested positive for the virus at a security checkpoint in Namhsan Township, Palaung Self-Administered Zone in Southern Shan State on November 21.

The township health department tested the 13 people with a test kit and found that one of them had been infected with Covid-19 on November 22. The virus patient is being treated in an intensive care unit at the hospital and 21 people who had close contact with the patient are placed under observation at quarantine centers. Sixteen people who have been in contact with the infected person have been taken to a health monitoring center, where they will be given the necessary nasal readings and laboratory tests.

Arrangements are being made by the Palaung Self-Administered Zone leading body, township management committee and local social organizations to ensure food and accommodation for the virus patients and people at the quarantine centers.
