Myeik 14 January
A fire broke out in Inlay Myaing Ward, Myeiktaung village-tract, Myeik, Taninthayi Region at about 11 am on January 14.
Officials from District Fire Services Department, departmental officials and local residents extinguished the fire using 12 fire engines and 11 water tankers and seven private water tankers. The blaze was completely put out at about 11:37 am.
Due to the fire, a total of 12 houses were burnt to ashes and no casualties were reported in the fire. The family members of the houses were removed to the houses of their relatives and Aung Mingalar Monastery. Then, they were given health care services. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the local police.
