15 coronavirus-positive cases reported in Magway Region

The number of coronavirus-positive patients in Magway Region from 13 April to 17 September has risen to 15, but no virus death was reported, according to the regional Department of Public Health.
    

Three returnees and 13 people who came back from Rakhine State and Yangon Region were found to have been infected with the virus. So far, 15 coronavirus cases were reported in Myothit, Taungdwingyi, Thayet, Magway, Aunglan, Natmauk and Myaing Township, the DPH said.


Swab samples taken from more than 2,700 people who are currently placed under observation at the quarantine centers were sent to the Ministry of Health and Sports for medical examination, said Dr Khin Maung Than, Assistant Director of the DPH. Two coronavirus-positive patients were reported this morning and four patients tested negative for coronavirus and were discharged from the hospital, the DPH said.


According to the Ministry of Health and Sports, Myanmar had so far reported 3,894 COVID-19 cases including 46 deaths and 908 recoveries.
