41 new virus cases recorded in Magway Region

Magway Region has registered 41 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number of virus caseload to 3,238, according to data updated by the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The new virus patients on January 25 were from Yenangyoung, Myaing, Magway, Gangaw and Pakkoku Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. Meanwhile, 297 virus patients are being treated at various hospitals in the region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


Magway Region reported 3,238 confirmed covid-19 cases in total, with over 2,929 patients discharging from hospital and 12 deaths.
