The 72nd anniversary of Chin National Day will be celebrated in Thantlang Township on 20 February on a grand scale.
The intention of the celebration is to preserve traditional customs and heritages of Chin ethnic tribes. The 69th anniversary of Chin National Day was held in Falam in 2017 and in Haka in 2018 and 2019. The event will allegedly become the fourth celebration of its kind in the time of new government.
Traditional cultural dance, costume contest and performance of different Chin ethnic people will also be staged by the local government’s booths to observe their lifestyle and customs.—IPRD
