Chief Minister of Bago Region U Win Thein together with senior officials from the local government visited Bago General Hospital to view the vaccination for healthcare workers against the covid-19 vaccine on January 28.
The chief minister and his entourage were briefed about immunization drive, efficacy and impact of the covid-19 vaccine by concerned officials. The covid-19 vaccine rollout is being undertaken for thousands of medical workers from 28 townships in the region. Gathering points were set up in Bago City to inoculate healthcare worker with covid-19 vaccines under the national vaccine scheme.
5,448 out of 7,747 health workers in Bago Region have been vaccinated on January 27 and the remainders will be injected against the vaccine by January 29.
