A ceremony to give compensation to farmers for damaged crops due to flooding in Kyangin Township, Ayeyawady Region was held at a hall in the town of Kyangin yesterday.
First, MP Dr. Tun Lin Maw of Pyithu Hluttaw and Township General Administrator U Kyaw Kyaw Lwin gave opening remarks at the ceremony.
Next, an official from the Township Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of the provision of crop compensation. Then, the officials presented K 13,970,000 of crop compensation to 653 farmers for their 1397 acres of damaged crops from 15 village-tracts.
