Fire breaks out in Hopong Twsp.

Fire broke out in the house of Maung Kywa in Myo-U Ward in the town of Hopong, the Pa'O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State, at around 12:55 pm yesterday.

The fire was thought to have started from an electric short circuit installed on the 2nd floor of a   two-story house in the ward in the town of Hopong.

Firefighters form the township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with local police members and locals using two fire engines and a water tanker, and the blaze was successfully extinguished at around 1:10 am.

Fire partially destroyed the house of Maung Kywa. But no casualties were reported. Authorities filed a case against Maung Kywa for his negligence.—Township IPRD
