Fire breaks out in Namtu Twsp.

No casualties were reported in a house fire in the town of Namtu, Shan State (North) yesterday evening, according to the township Fire Services Department.


The fire was believed to have started from an ember left in the home of a man, identified as U Tun Yin in Ward-8 in the town of Namtu at about 6:45 am on 29 December, and totally destroyed the house, causing a loss of about K 325000. 


The blaze was completely extinguished by firefighters with the use of two fire engines at around 7:00 pm. Action has been taken against the house owner over fire negligence by the local police station, according to Namtu Police Station.
