Police eradicate poppy plantations in eastern Shan State

Authorities destroyed one acre of poppy plantations in Phattu Village in Tachilek Township, eastern Shan State on 20 December, according to Mongyawng police station.

 

A combined team comprising police members from the District and Township Police Stations, security force from No. 335 Light Infantry Battalion, police member from Tachilek Anti-drug squad-30 and departmental officials annihilated one acre of poppy field about three miles southwest of Phattu Village in Tachilek Township in eastern Shan State.—Sai Aung Zaw Lin
