An event to upgrade a middle school to a high school (branch) was held in Thepon Village, Myawady Township in Kayin State yesterday afternoon.
On the occasion, the Lower House Lawmaker U Sein Bo, Kayin State MP U Aik Kyan Kham, Deputy Commissioner U Tezar Aung, Kayin State Education Officer U Ngwe Soe, Township Administrator U Myint Oo, and Headmistress Daw Tin Tin Hla cut a ceremonial ribbon to launch the signboard of school and sprinkled scented water on it.
The newly-upgraded school would open in the academic year 2020-2021. Also present at the ceremony were teachers, students and local people.
