A ceremony to provide social pension to elderly people over 85 years old in Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region was held at the Township General Administration Department on January 20.
At the ceremony, a township officer from the Township Department of Social Welfare handed over K 31,980,000 of social pension for 1066 elderly people over 85 years old and K 150,000 of additional cash aids for five elderly people over 100 years old to Deputy Township Administrator. Next, the respective ward and village administrators will make a domiciliary visit to provide social pension and additional cash aids to the elderly in the township.
The elderly people without national identity cards and household registration forms have to inform respective ward and village administrators for issuing social pension.
