Slight earthquake hits Tedim Twsp

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded yesterday night, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.


An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 22 miles southwest of Tedim Township in Chin State. It was recorded at 00:03 a.m. at a latitude of 23.18°N, and longitude of 93.39°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers and about 38 miles northwest of the Haka seismological observatory, said the DMH.
