No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded yesterday night, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 33 miles northeast of Gangaw Township in Magway Region. It was recorded at 8:29 p.m. at a latitude of 22.34°N, and longitude of 94.40°E, with a depth of 60 kilometers and about 88 miles southeast of the Haka seismological observatory, said the DMH.
