The nationwide school enrolment process for the 2025–2026 academic year began on 22 May in Twantay Township, Ayeyarwady Region. As of 23 May, a total of 14,445 students have been registered across 221 schools in the township.

The schools include 215 Basic Education Schools, one Monastic Education School, four private high schools, and one private middle school.

To support access to education, the government is providing students with free school textbooks, notebooks, pencils, pens, and uniforms. No fees are being charged for school enrolment.— Myo Hlaing (Twantay)
