Pwintbyu, 21 May
Pwintbyu Township in Magway Region plans to cultivate 24,720 acres of sesame during the upcoming rainy season, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
Preparations such as plowing and land preparation are underway. The department will collaborate with local farmers to expand sesame cultivation, improve yields, and promote high-quality varieties using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
"Systematic cultivation through GAP can boost both quality and market value, opening doors to domestic and international markets," said Daw Moe Moe Wai, a staff officer at the department.— Hlaing Win Lay (Pwint Phyu Myay)
