Police in western Japan have arrested a man on suspicion of attacking several people with what appears to be a crossbow.
Two of them are reportedly unconscious.
Police officers went to a home in Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Thursday morning, after a caller reported being hit by an arrow shot by a grandchild.
They say a man in his 20s believed to be a college student attacked members of his family with what appears to be a crossbow.
The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
