29 nations and regions restrict entry from Japan

Japan's Foreign Ministry says that as of Thursday morning, 29 countries and regions have placed restrictions on the entry of people traveling from Japan over the coronavirus outbreak.

Among them are China, South Korea, India and Israel.

A total of 70 countries and regions require people arriving from Japan to be quarantined at designated facilities for a prescribed period of time, or request they put themselves under self-imposed health monitoring.

These countries and regions include Taiwan, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam.
