30th SEA Games: Myanmar rowing team wins one silver, two bronze medals

Myanmar secured one silver medal and two bronze medals in rowing and boat race competitions at the 30th South East Asian Games on 8 December at Malawaan Park in Subic City, the Philippines. Team Myanmar won the bronze medal in the 500-meter men’s four-player rowing event, while it won the silver medal in the 1,000-meter men’s and women’s mixed 22-player rowing event. Meanwhile, Myanmar’s Shwe Zin Latt and Ni Lar Win won another bronze medal in the women’s doubles international boat race event. Earlier, team Myanmar had won a gold medal in the 200-meter women’s traditional boat race at the 30th South East Asian Games, held on 7 December at the Malawaan Park. So far, Myanmar’s boat race and rowing teams have secured one gold medal, three silver medals, and four bronze medals at the 2019 SEA Games.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
