Magway, December 14
An additional 62 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Magway Region, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the region to nearly 2,000 according to the Department of Public Health.
There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The confirmed virus patients on December 13 were from Aunglan, Salin, Taungdwingyi, Minbu, Natmauk, Minhla. Gangaw, and Chauk Townships.
A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. As of December 13, a total of 1,882 confirmed coronavirus cases have been detected in Magway Region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.
The Magway Region Department of Public Health is urging the public to be extra vigilant as more and more people are infected with the virus.
