73 more virus cases reported in Magway Region

73 more covid-19 cases were reported in Magway Region on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed virus cases in the region to 2,027, according to the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The confirmed virus patients on December 15 were from Myothit, Salin, Magway, Minbu, Taungdwingyi, Pwintbyu, Natmauk, Aunglan, Saw, Myaing, and Yenangyoung Townships.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. One more patient died from the virus in Magway Region on December 15, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.
There are 2,027 confirmed coronavirus cases in Magway Region, with four fatalities.
