ONE Championship middleweight and light heavyweight champion Aung La N Sang will defend his middleweight title against former middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash at the ONE Championship ‘Infinity 1’ event, which is scheduled to take place on 10 April at Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Burmese Python Aung La N Sang faced Russia’s Bigdash twice in 2017. While he lost one bout, he won another bout against Bigdash.

In their first meeting in the ‘Quest for Power’ event in Jakarta, Indonesia on 14 January, 2017, Aung La N Sang lost to Bigdash in a unanimous decision. But, in their second meeting at the ‘Light of a Nation’ event on 30 June, 2017 in Yangon, Aung La landed a unanimous win over Bigdash to claim his middleweight championship title.

Aung La is currently on a seven-bout winning streak after securing a second-round TKO against Philippines fighter Brandon Vera in the light heavyweight title defense in October, 2019.

Bigdash has secured ten wins and two losses in his fighting history.

Speaking about the upcoming fight to the international media, Aung La N Sang said he will put Vitaly Bigdash out.

“I will go for broke,” Aung La said. “If I touch him, I’m gonna put him out. I just have to touch him.

Just have to make sure I’m on point with everything, my preparations.”

“I’m definitely a different fighter than when I first fought him. I’m training full time now, that’s a lot different, and the calibre of my training partners is a lot better,” he added. — Lynn Thit (Tgi)
