Bago Region Chief Minister inspects 500-bedded Hospital in Pyay

Bago Region Chief Minister U Win Thein accompanied by departmental officials and MPs of the Hluttaw inspected the 500-bedded Hospital in Pyay this morning.

First, medical superintendent Dr. Khin May Lwin clarified the proportion of doctors and patients, medical services being provided, annual outbreak of infectious disease and requirements.

 

The chief minister urged those present to have a good relationship between patients and medical staff, adding the regional government is fulfilling the needs of the hospital, especially emergency cases.  He reiterated rabies vaccines are being furnished with the help of donors and called on making a field trip by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure food safety.

Afterwards, the chief minister and party also toured Thirikhittaya Museum near Pyay where deputy director from the Department of Archeology and National Museum clarified about Pyu Ancient City.

 

Thayekhittaya Ancient City is situated 180 miles away from Yangon and it is five miles away from Pyay.
