Chief Minister of Chin State U Salai Lain Luai attended a ceremony to inaugurate an upgraded basic education high school in Lonehot Village, FalamTownship in Chin State on 2 April.
First, the chief minister, Chin State Minister for Road and Transportation U Shwe Htee Ooe, Chin State Minister for Social Affairs U Pau Lun Min Thang and Chin State Education Officer Daw Hnin Kyi opened the upgraded school by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. Afterwards, speeches were delivered by the chief minister and the Chin State ministers.
Next, the headmistress briefed about the background of the school and its necessities. Lonehot Village Administrator U Ngan Thang also spoke words of thanks and the chief minister fulfilled the requirements. Afterwards, the chief minister and local government ministers presented sports gear to the headmistress who returned the flags that commemorate the school upgrading ceremony.
The school was upgraded to a basic education high school on 29 May 2018.—John (IPRD)
