Cash assistance was provided to those affected by natural disaster at Swa General Administration Department Office in Yedashe Township, Bago Region in conjunction with the presentation of fertilizer under the Immediate Response Mechanism-IRM to the victims this morning with an opening address by Bago Region Chief Minister U Win Thein.
At the event, Director U Thein Htay Aung of Bago Region Disaster Management Department and Director U Hla Myint of the Region Agriculture Department explained the purpose of the donations.
Director U Thein Htay Aung presented K 5.99 million and Director U Hla Myint presented bags of fertilizer for the disaster victims through the chief minister and MPs.
Bago Region witnessed the damage of over 700000 acres of crop plantations as well as many acres of paddy in 2018.—Tin Soe (Bago)
