Sedoktaya, 29 April
A get-together party aimed at promoting friendship among Chin indigenous people and tackling their difficulties was held at Dhamma School Hall in Sedoktaya Township, Magway Region this morning.
Firstly, Regional Minister for Chin Ethnic Affairs U Hla Tun delivered an opening speech. Next, officials from the Department of Ethnical Literature and Culture and the Department of Ethnic Rights elaborated on ethnic literature and ethnic rights being implemented by the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs. Representatives from Chin ethnic tribes also briefed matters relating to their literature and cultural affairs.
The event, the third of its kind was also attended by Regional Lawmaker for No (1) Constituency Daw Nyo Nyo Oo, departmental staff and local people.—Sithu Lwin (IPRD)
