A ceremony to provide compensation to farmers for damaged crops due to disaster in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region was held at the Township General Administration Department this morning.
First, MP U Myint Sein of Regional Hluttaw and an official from the Township Department of Agriculture gave remarks and provided compensation to farmers whose crops were damaged by natural disaster.
The compensation was provided to farmers depending on the kinds of crops. A total of 876 farmers in 21 village-tracts were provided K 20,785,000 for damaged crops, according to an official from the township Department of Agriculture.
