Construction Minister inspects Pathein Bridge construction project

Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw inspected Pathein Bridge (2) construction project before he looked into upgrade of Yangon-Pathein motorway on 29 February.

The road is being paved with concrete between the mileposts 33/0 and 33/1 in Ayeyawady Region, and a 180-ft bridge on inter-village road that links Pantanaw Township to Yangon-Pathein road.

The Union Minister and party then visited the construction site of Pathein Bridge (2), and instructed timely completion of the bridge and safety measures at the project.

After finishing construction, the bridge will link Pathein city and Seingone residential ward on the west bank of Ngawon River. The bridge is 2,380-ft long with 28-ft wide traffic route and 5-ft wide pedestrian lanes on each side. The width of pillars and height for waterway will be 416-ft and 60-ft respectively. —MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
