Construction works of rural road in Meiktila Township completed 100%

With the aim of saving time and money, the Township Department of Rural Development is implementing construction works of a rural road in collaboration with village development committee in Thayetkan Village in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region, and now, all the projects were completed by 100 percent, according to the Township Department of Rural Development.

 

The reinforced concrete road measuring 600 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and six inches in thickness was constructed with Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allocated funds and Ks 3.87 million contributed by villagers in 2021-2022 fiscal years.

 

Now, the road was completed 100% and it will benefit 717 local people from 159 households in the village, according to the Township DRD. Officials led by Daw Myint Win, deputy director of the District DRD inspected the completion of the road and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance. —Min Thein Kyaw(Meiktila)
