The final match of an invitational volleyball contest to mark December Sports Month was held in conjunction with a prize awarding event at an indoor stadium in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 31 December.
A total of six teams were competed in a round robin format and two teams namely Yedagun and Ywaysu Village advanced to the final. In the final match, Yedagun team was crowned champion after defeating Ywaysu Village 3-2. The players from the champion and runner-up teams were presented trophy and cash by concerned officials.
The competition was jointly organized by the Sports and Physical Education Department and the township sports sub-committee.—Tin Soe Lwin (Tatkon)
