With the aim of narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas and upgrading the development of rural areas, the Department of Rural Development is undertaking developmental works across the nation. In Mongkaing Township, the Township Department of Rural Development is undertaking development tasks in 2018-2019 FY and all the projects have been completed.
Six rural water supply projects were undertaken with K 178 million, a rural road with K 33.95 million and a bridge was constructed with K 4.85 million in 2019-2020 FY. In addition, village development projects, emerald green projects and cash for work projects were also implemented in the township, according to Township Officer U Khun Kyaw Sein.
