The Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports launched the first nationwide vaccination campaign in Saw Township, Magway Region on October 21 to prevent women from cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV).
The vaccination campaign targets girls between 9 and 10 years old in the country. The DPH also injected 37 girls between 9 and 10 years from Saw Township with immunization against cervical cancer, according to a staff from the DPH.
