DRD-financed rural road being built in Wuntho Twsp

The local lawmaker and local authorities inspected construction of a rural road in Oungpin Village in Wuntho Township on January 14.

Sagaing Region MP Daw Khaing Kaing Win and staff from the Department of Rural Development looked into improvement for a rural road being built by the funds allocated by the local government. The two mile long, 12 ft. wide, 3 ft. thick road is being built by a private construction company at a cost of nearly 90 million kyats.

Once completed, the new rural road is expected to benefit 200 acres of farmland belonging to local farmers, thereby contributing them to transporting their products in a timely manner.—Kyaw Myaing (IPRD)
