FIFA ranking: Myanmar national squad stands fourth in ASEAN

The Myanmar men’s national football team is currently standing fourth in the ASEAN region and ranked 134rd in the world with 1,081 points, according to the FIFA rankings released in October 2020.


Myanmar and Thailand moved a point up while Singapore fell a point down in the FIFA Ranking of this month.


Team Viet Nam is still standing first in ASEAN with a world ranking of 94 and 1,258 points earned.


Meanwhile, Thailand’s national football team is placed second in ASEAN with FIFA ranking of 113 and 1,178 points.


The Philippines squad is third with a world ranking of 124 and 1,136 points.
Next, Malaysia national team is fifth in ASEAN and 154th in the world ranking with 1,040 points earned. In the meantime, Singapore is next with FIFA world ranking of 158 and 1,020 points.


Indonesia and Cambodia are tied in the seventh place in ASEAN with FIFA ranking of 173 and 964 points each and Laos is next in the eighth with FIFA world ranking of 188. Brunei and Timor Leste are in the ninth and tenth place with FIFA ranking of 191 and 197.


Myanmar had highest records of FIFA ranks as 97 in April 1996 and lowest as 182 in August 2012, according to the FIFA.— Lynn Thit (Tgi)
