No casualties were reported in a house fire in Chaungma Village in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region this morning, according to information released by the Myanmar Police Force.
The fire broke out in a house of a man named U Aung Din in the village at about 8:40 am on 23 November. The blaze was completely extinguished by firefighters with the use of two fire engines at around 9:10 am. The fire is believed to have started from an ember left in the house and totally destroyed the house, causing a loss of about K 192000.
Action has been taken against the house owner over fire negligence by the local police station.—MPF
