Sagaing, 28 February
The fire broke out at the house on Tharaphi-15 road in Nandawin ward in the Town of Sagaing, Sagaing Region at about 3:00 pm on 27 February and destroyed three houses. The fire started from a burning mattress near the house and completely destroyed three houses.
Firefighters from the District Fire Service Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local people using two fire engines and two water tankers, and the blaze was totally extinguished at about 3:30 pm. But no casualties were reported in the fire.
Action has been taken against U Myo Kyi who set fire to old mattress near the house for his negligence by the local police station.—Lu Lay
