A fire drill was demonstrated in the compound of the township electrical officer’s office in Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region this morning.
The commander of the township fire brigade U Ye Lin Aung and the township electrical engineer U Khin Maung Myint of the Electricity Supply Enterprise explained matters to be undertaken. Firefighters demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers and conducted a fire drill with the use of fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers.
Fire drills are being conducted with added momentum at filling stations and markets while fire awareness talks are giving to students in schools in the township on a regular basis. Gyobingauk Township witnessed only one fire accident in 2018.—Zeyar Tun
