Kawkareik, March 13
With the cooperation between the township Development Committee and the township Fire Services, a fird drill was practised in front of the major market in the town of Kawkareik, Kawkareik district, Kayin state in the afternoon of March 11.
At the event, firefighters gave talks about matters relating to fire prevention and demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers effectively in case of fire. They practically showed the method of putting out oil fire by fire extinguishers.
Present at the emergency drill were deputy district administrator U Kyaw Thu, the township administrator U San Nu, officials from the township Development Committee, local fire fighters and shopkeepers at the market.—Khin Myo Win (District IPRD)
