Hantharwady winger Hein Htet Aung to join Malaysian football club

HEIN Htet Aung, a young winger of the Hantharwady United and Myanmar U-22 national football team, is planning to move to a Malaysian football club, according to a statement with the Hantharwady United. 


The 19-year-old winger is being linked with football authorities from the top Malaysian clubs, and his transfer will be likely to be finalized later this month. 


Hein Htet Aung’s contract with Hantharwady has expired recently, and he is now making some quick decisions to move to a Malaysian club. 


Hein Htet Aung is a graduate of the Myanmar Football Academy and played for Hantharwady as a professional player from 2018 to the end of the 2020 season. 


Hein Htet Aung performed well in the 2020 season to assist Hantharwady United winning the second prize. Hein Htet Aung made 54 appearances for Hantharwady United from the 2018 football season until the end of the 2020 football season, scoring nine goals. 


The youth player has been selected in the U-22 squad of the Myanmar national team in the previous year and showed his superb performance in international football tourneys. 


During a couple of weeks, Hein Htet Aung will make a quick decision to sign a contract with a Malaysian club for at least two years, according to the statement with the Hantharwady United.
