HANTHAWADY United played a friendly game with Chinland FC at M3 artificial turf in Yangon yesterday amid the preparation for remaining matches of the MPT Myanmar National League 2020, which will restart on 22 August. The game was finished with a 5-2 win by Hanthawady.

Since all the football matches were postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020, the friendly competition was a very first one of its kinds for Myanmar National League clubs.

The win for Hanthawady was mostly depended on the excellent play of its expatriate players along with local players.

Hanthawady’s Lar Din Maw Yar, Yan Naing Aung, and Francis Emeka scored each goal for their team. At the same time, Aung Myo Thura made two goals to secure a big victory.

On the contrary, Shwe Win Tun and Thawng Lian Thang scored each consolation goal for Chinland FC.

The win has built the confidence of Hanthawady in dreaming for their restarting the Myanmar National League. Currently, all the Myanmar National League footballers are staying in their quarantine camps to prepare for the upcoming MNL football matches which will be held on 22 August.
