IDPs in Tanai Twsp to be resettled

Tanai, 17 August

Local authorities made a field trip to Tein Kauk Village, Tanai Township in Kachin State to help internally displaced persons (IDPs) relocate their native villages as peace and stability have been restored there.

Residents have fled their homes due to armed conflicts and are taking shelter at temporary rescue camps. Chairman of the township management committee Township Administrator U Kyaw Lwin and committee members coordinated with the victims of conflict over resettlement in their native villages in the township.

16 households would be provided food, healthcare services and basic necessities including availability of accommodations, roads, bridges, electricity and water by the government when they were resettled in their native areas.
