Indian Liaison Office inaugurated in Nay Pyi Taw

The inauguration ceremony of the Liaison Office of the Embassy of the Republic of India was held yesterday at Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw during the visit of Mr Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, to Myanmar.


The ceremony was attended by U Soe Han, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, Mr Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Mr Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Myanmar, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and members of the Indian delegation.


At the ceremony, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, the Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Ambassador of India to Myanmar delivered opening remarks. Then, they formally opened the Liaison Office of the Embassy of the Republic of India by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and toured around the Liaison Office.—MNA
