An inter-ward/village U-21 men’s football tourney kicked off at a sport ground in Thandaunggyi Township, Kayin State yesterday afternoon.
At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Zaw Moe Aung gave a speech and opened the event. A total of 10 teams throughout the township are taking part in the contest. Team (B) representing Thandaunggyi Township played against the squad representing Thabyaynyunt Village in the opening match.
The competition is held by the Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Health and Sports under it’s the Township Sports Development Programme (TSDP).—IPRD
